Fitness Lying Down was created in 2014 to provide fitness solutions through personal training and group training for the people of the Coulee Region. Staying true to the current research and science of the day we offer a better approach to functional training, focusing on the body’s core muscles to help build authentic mobility and movement strength for our clients to live stronger lives outside the four walls of our gym with confidence!

Using a systematic approach to fitness, we are able to meet our clients where they’re at and provide the right exercises for them at the right time. Nurturing them through the system and providing for their growth as they continually progress and get better!

You will discover how we see things quite differently than the typical “fitness-as-usual” facilities where they see sets & reps – we see opportunities. Where they see exercises – we see solutions. Being able to take a completely integrative approach to functional training and core strengthening we are able to give our clients the means to move more efficiently, with better posture to conquer their daily activities pain free!

Our approach to strength training is quite unique and requires specific equipment that can match our clients’ fitness needs. Using the correct, multi-functional fitness tool allows for more success for our clients and a better fitness experience than with using the conventional fitness equipment. So you will see kettlebells, resistance bands, suspension trainers, lever bells, and of course – our beloved sandbags because let’s face it … we love sandbags!

Fitness Lying Down fully embraces, and employs the DVRT (Dynamic Variable Resistance Training) system – and that system has been tried and proven true since 2005! DVRT has greatly benefited Fitness Lying Down and our clients for over 5 years while rising in popularity nationally and internationally that our owner, Cory Cripe, as an active DVRT master trainer travels to certify other fitness professionals and clinicians such as physical therapists in this system that we follow wholeheartedly!

Growing up I had always been active, enjoying the outdoors as well as playing team sports in middle and high school. I really developed my passion for health and fitness when I started college at UW-La Crosse. I earned a B.S. in Exercise and Sport Science with an emphasis in Fitness in May of 2018.

Cory Cripe
I have been interested in lifting weights, exercise, fitness, etc for most of my life. This interest led me to earn a B.S. in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse with an emphasis in Fitness and a concentration in Strength and Conditioning in 2001.
