When we step foot in the gym we have certain expectations for the upcoming workout. We expect to have our heart rates elevated, to sweat, and to feel the muscles working aka "the burn." We are under the impression that if we aren't feeling that burn then we must either be doing something wrong or need to step up the intensity for that particular exercise.
